Metallic blue at midnight
@hairbymeganfloars
Radioactive azure tones are an intergalactic species. Large stem curves add areas for easy deflection, accentuating that glossy sheen. Metallic paint has become very popular and it makes sense to add some of it.
blue on long hair
@hair.by.ramona
A deep, dark blue that gives it a purple sheen. Longer hair tends to bring more drama with matching waves at the ends.
Ash midnight blue
@gabbyrosehair_
It’s like it’s almost non-existent, isn’t it? Well, this smoky blue adds sophistication to the “less is more” look. Adding ash tones to navy blue hair is like creating smoky eyeshadow.
Midnight to Light Blue Ombre
@hairbyrosiejay
Black and blue ombre hair doesn’t scream out loud but shows a certain bold demeanor. The royal blue ends make the base navy blue more prominent.
Very dark at midnight
@taylorgbeautyxo
Snow White would be proud that you have such black hair. The waves in the cut hair created shine, adding an extra factor.
Midnight Blue and Dark Brown Dye Dye
@vcoiffuremtl
Still not sure which color to try? Try dipping paint! In this case, the blue ends stick out against the brunette’s strands, creating a minimalist vibe.
Deep Midnight-Navy Blue
@pajar_hair_art
Now you can wear jeans with your hair! This mix of midnight navy looks amazing on pinkish shades, although anyone can try it.

How would you describe this look?
This hair color is medium brown with blue-violet highlights. This mom of two very active sons needs minimal maintenance, so she wears her hair long and cuts it regularly, that’s all. Tails, buns and braids are her favorite styles, and she curls them from time to time for special occasions. It’s nice to have such options with beautiful long hair. What I like most about it is that it is so bright without being overpowering.
Any advice for those considering this?
This hair color is great for those who want to have some fun with their hair but don’t want to commit to the maintenance and cost of a full head of trendy color.
Highlights can also be done in any color, so it’s just a matter of preference. Anyone thinking about this type of coloring should remember that highlights need to be lightened before the trendy color can be added. Because it is a trendy color, it will fade and wash out after 4-6 weeks.
This is a fun alternative to traditional highlights that will look great on any hair length.

This blue denim color is the result of our search for a blue color that is not quite the same as four years ago, but is still trendy and goes well with fashion. This is a very trendy color.
Any advice for those considering this?
Dark blue hair color will fade every time you shampoo your hair because it is not permanent. You may need to use a colored shampoo or get creative by adding colors yourself using color treatments. We would recommend it to those who like to create new hair and makeup styles.

How would you describe this look?
Honestly, the best thing about this look is the lightness that goes with style. The pixie haircut seriously breathed life into me.
I like to see the features of the client’s face. For example, in this photo, Lacey has the most beautiful eyebrows, plump lips and the cutest freckles. Hiding behind a thick mop of hair just doesn’t suit her. Also, I really liked this delicate charcoal blue color that we gave her! The charcoal contrast really adds a twist to this navy blue hair.
Any advice for those considering this?
This is a really simple style for those who are very active and have a busy lifestyle. Before blow-drying, we used Redken’s Velvet Gelatin 07 to help it even out. After any paste or putty, even a dry texturizing spray will do to add some texture to the style!

This look is bold. The haircut itself is a sleek bob with clean lines, zero graduation and a tiny undercut to give it movement.
Color cobalt blue obtained with Schwarzkopf bleach and Pravana hair dye.
Any advice for those considering this?
This style is for clients who are not afraid to play with a bit of color and are willing to take the proper steps to keep that gorgeous blue.
Even though it is a high maintenance color, using the right products will ensure the color lasts. I highly recommend protecting your hair color with a color shampoo like Redken Color Magnetics and an after shampoo product like Joico Color Butter in Blue.
The texture of this particular client is a bit wavy, so we applied Kerastase Nectar Thermique and ironed it out.

How would you describe this look?
What I love about this color is that it’s a dark blue, but once it’s out in direct sunlight, it’s a bright purple with hints of blue! I love teaching my clients how to do this because it takes less than 10 minutes and makes them feel like they just stepped out of the salon every time!
Any advice for those considering this?
My advice for this color to clients is that they should be prepared to wash their hair with cold water once a week and be prepared to maintain this color. This color reminds me of a person who wants to be famous and is not afraid to make himself known.

How would you describe this look?
This color was my client’s dream color. She started with dark natural hair, and her dream was to get blue – not blue like Marge Simpson, but a darker navy blue. I thought of a dark illuminated sky like in the middle of the night, so I gave her a balayage, keeping her natural base and neutralizing any yellow in my client’s hair. I used the semi-permanent colors Pulpriot, Nightfall (blue) and some Noir (black) to create my version of the dark blue. She fell in love instantly and with such a breathtaking color I had to give her a Viking braid and curls to take home. A crown fit for a queen, she has never felt more like herself. What I love most about this look is that it’s subtle yet bold enough to make a statement.

Realize that you will need to go up to a cool blonde before your blue deposit. Many stylists and clients tend to wear blue over yellow blonde hair but don’t realize that blue and yellow make green, and green hair can break the heart of someone looking for the perfect blue. Pre-toned the blonde so that all the yellow has been removed and neutralized so you can apply this color.
Also, keep in mind that these trendy semi-permanent colors only last about 4-6 weeks, give or take. They also require careful maintenance (avoid swimming and hot baths as chemicals and salts in the water can change color). These colors are very fun and the best part is that after fading you can keep up with your favorite color, switch it or just enjoy a light canvas after fading.

How would you describe this look?
I call it dark blue hair. These blue-blacks allow you to wear a black look without being so dull. Most women want to change their hair from blonde to completely dark, but they also hate to lose that sense of volume. It does it for you! I love this navy blue look because it screams classy yet edgy. Dark, but not so gray.
Any advice for those considering this?
I think any client can wash out the navy blue hair color. But it really stands out on girls with such an edgy style, as well as women with pale skin and blue eyes! It really cracks on the skin. The long bob here also adds that classy yet not overly daring look that color alone can create, especially if the haircut needs to be shorter than this. This look can be easily created by your stylist! Take action!

This look is a partial weave/elongation with a middle section.

Only a small amount of her hair is left at the top to cover the extensions. Color on extensions, not real hair. I used 2 different shades of blue. First I bleached the extensions and then used 2 semi-permanent blue ones.
